Jet Set Black Travel had the pleasure of attending an exclusive event hosted by the Norfolk Visitor’s Bureau in partnership with the Professional Travel Agents of North America (PTANA) – Hampton Roads Chapter.
Our visit included a private tour of the newly revitalized Half Moone Cruise and Celebration Center, which will serve as the dedicated port for the enhanced Carnival Sunshine over the next five years! 🙌🏽
We were guided by the Head of Security, David, who shared the facility’s safety and boarding procedures—ensuring guests can cruise with peace of mind.
After the port tour, we explored the Nauticus Museum, located right on the same campus. It’s a brilliant introduction to Norfolk for arriving cruise guests! Fun fact: Autumn and I had visited Nauticus once before during our 14th anniversary celebration, so this return visit as travel professionals made the experience all the more meaningful. 💙⚓️ (You know we love our anniversaries!)
We capped off our day with lunch at the Norfolk Waterside Marriott—outdoors, under the breeze, sharing stories and ideas with fellow travel experts. We even had the chance to tour the property and view their stunning 6th-floor pool with a view of the waterfront.
